Hamster Setup + Fit Lab

Will the wheel fit after the bedding goes in?

Measure the habitat and the complete wheel. The lab draws the finished setup, finds tight edges, and keeps every missing dimension visible.

Measure the finished habitat, not the empty box.

Your measurements

Use internal habitat dimensions and the wheel's widest assembled points. Your draft stays in this browser while you measure.

What this result means

This drawing compares the overall assembled wheel size with the habitat measurements entered. In the finished habitat, also check posture, stability, ventilation, the moving path, and the individual hamster.

Every fit plan uses the complete assembled width, depth, and height. Add verified package dimensions or measure the assembled wheel at its widest points.

Read the fit drawing in context.

Does a dimensional fit mean the wheel is suitable for my hamster?

The drawing confirms whether the complete assembled wheel fits within the habitat measurements you entered. Finish the decision by checking running posture, a solid running surface, stand stability, the moving path, ventilation, and the individual hamster using the wheel.

Why does the tool ask for wheel diameter and installed height?

Wheel diameter draws the running drum and checks that the overall measurements agree. Installed height places the top of the complete wheel after bedding is added. In the finished habitat, use the setup guide to check running posture.

Why do I enter the product measurements myself?

A reliable fit needs the complete assembled width, depth, and installed height. When a product record omits one of those measurements, House Pet Authority keeps it unknown instead of estimating it from a photo or wheel diameter.

Published guidance behind the setup checks.

The geometry is calculated from your measurements. These sources explain why wheel posture, a functional habitat, bedding, and normal hamster behavior belong in the final check.
