Pickles: Safe for Dogs and Cats?
CautionDogs
Pickles should not be offered to dogs because the brine is very salty and recipes may contain onion, garlic, sugar, hot peppers, nutmeg, or xylitol. A plain cucumber is a different food.
CautionCats
Pickles are not suitable for cats because they are high in salt and may contain garlic, onion, sugar, or hot spices. Check the label after an exposure and do not offer pickle juice.
