Tofu safety for dogs
Plain, cooked tofu is non-toxic to most healthy dogs in a small amount, but it is not a complete replacement for animal protein and seasoned or fried tofu changes the answer.
Safe serving: A small bite of plain, cooked tofu with no sauce, salt, garlic, onion, or frying oil.
Tofu safety for cats
Plain tofu is not inherently toxic to cats, but it does not meet an obligate carnivore's nutritional needs and flavored preparations may contain garlic, onion, salt, or sauces. It should not replace complete cat food.
